Feedback is essential to keeping a game running smoothly. That's the purpose of this post right here! Anyone at all— players and watchers alike— are free to leave any form of feedback or suggestions for us and we'll take them all into consideration and try to reply in a timely manner. Please leave all plot suggestions/requests on the calendar entry and all questions and complaints on the screened mod contact entry to keep things tidy, thank you! Anon is turned on, IP logging is off, and all comments are screened for the time being, but can be unscreened upon request. For other (and probably quicker) methods of contacting the mods, please go to the mod contact page. |

With the examples provided, however, these are the items that we have loosely scheduled and have even added a note on the calendar page to explain it, but I'll do so again. Intro logs and the CR meme revolve around the app cycle and will only go up once most/all of the applications have been processed. Our reasoning being a very logical point on the environment of the game. It isn't fair to new players to be excluded from something that's gone up before they were even let into the game, and things like the intro log and the CR meme lose their steam after a day or two. If someone new comments to it five days later and doesn't get any replies, that's not very welcoming and affects the game environment! We don't want anyone to feel left out, and thus, those two items are loosely scheduled to be accommodating of new players to the game. Since their intended purpose is for new players/characters and less for existing characters, we're at a bit of a loss for how to confront this as a concern. It is something that we plan to bring up with a couple ideas for alternate ways to handle at least the intro log on next month's How's The Game meme that we were planning on holding. We've compiled a few things that we've noticed and had our own issues with to cover, and the intro log timing is one of them. Likewise, I'll be taking the CR meme off the calendar so it isn't so confusingly-placed and seemingly late.
As for the AC comments left hanging, we thank you for pointing them out as that's an honest oversight we hadn't realized happened! There's no excuse for that; it was just a project we likely thought was finished and wandered off from. I'll get to those first thing tomorrow.
Regarding the new event, we have a couple of points to bring up and would like to explain something on our end in response. The storm, while non-sexual in nature, was something that stranded people in the dark and in the cold and was very much the meme fodder version of snowed in / romantic antics in the rain to remain open to sexual action, and the scavenger hunt was a player-suggested event we were excited to undertake. The scavenger hunt is actually the first event to not include sex in any form... since the game has opened, I'm pretty sure! That's eight months solid of sex events, and we don't think one non-sex event is unfair at all. Everything else has had a very overt wink wink nudge nudge feel to it even if it wasn't explicitly "go bang in one of these explicit manners for the greater good". Likewise, we don't even require smut activity every month. If you can't work your characters into being sexually active for the one month we don't have a sex event (and the storm was still a pretty good reason to get it on, honestly, so it doesn't really count for "a full month without sexy events"), it won't harm your activity record at all. The nature of the game is a sex-positive world-building and exploration setting; not an aphro sex game where sex is expected 24/7. The events won't always be heavy-handed, and sometimes (not very often, we promise) won't even be sexual, like this scavenger hunt. It's a large turning point for the development of the setting and will establish more frequent and safer travel as well as the beginnings of a market/trade, and we think that it's very important to introduce to the world. We apologize if you feel it's unfair, but it will not negatively effect your activity requirements at all and it is something that we always have taken into consideration. We wouldn't require smut once every other month if we didn't plan on having sex events at least once every other month! That's just plain illogical.
We've also received a lot of conflicting input on the types of events wanted and the direction some players want the game to go in versus how some other players want it to go, combined with overall observed response to our events, and it's been giving us some grief. Once again, it's something we plan on bringing up in full on November's How's the Game meme because we're having a difficult time trying to balance it with our intention and views of the game itself. It's something we've struggled with for months and don't feel that we're doing an adequate job of meeting everyone in the middle on, so it will be coming up for discussion on a larger scale and hopefully reach a verdict on. This is one more case where we've heard "we want more slice of life events" / "we want something other than a sex event" only for us to run it and receive feedback that it isn't a sex event or it's too slice of life. It's exactly this that is making it hard for us to decide where to go, and will be on the open-forum meme coming up. We wanted to be sure to answer you here and now, but also let you know that it isn't anything set in stone and we'll have open discussions here soon!
We hope you can understand our reasoning and that our explanations of everything were clear, and as always, we're more than happy to touch up anything that may have left you wondering in our reply. Just let us know how else we can help or if anything was unclear, and thank you again for giving us your input! It's a huge help that we don't often receive and we truly do appreciate it.
